December 31 2008 hunt

We went to a WMA and turned Monkey, my Spur dog and another guys dog out along a creek that runs through a long swamp. All the dogs were gone for 10-15 minutes and we heard Monkey bay. Naturally he was across the creek. We found a log to walk, got across the creek and went to Monkey. The other two dogs never came to him, not sure where they were. Got to Monkey and he had a 110 LB boar bayed under a fallen tree. Monkey saw us, got a little more aggressive and the hog came to him, flipped him and cut him under the chin. Not a bad cut as the hog didn't have much teeth. We had no other dogs so I shot him for a New Years Eve party some friends were having that night. I would have preferred to catch him, but have no idea where the other two dogs were. They finally came to us with their tounges hanging out so they may have been on another hog somewhere. Hopefully....
