205 lb Boar

Here is a pic of a 205 lb boar Monkey bayed the first morning of the Halpata hunt. We had Monkey and two pups out, one was a Monkey x JJ pup that was 9 months old, the other was a young Plott. Both pups belong to a buddy (Chris), who was hunting with me. Monkey bayed 10 minutes out of the truck and the pups went to him. We heard a yelp, knew a dog was cut and went that way. All three dogs were baying and the Monkey x JJ pup was right in the hogs face. We didn't have a catch dog and they wanted the hogs taken so we shot him. He broke, ran over dogs, cut the pup again and then bayed. Finally had to shoot him again and when he went down all the dogs piled on him. When the dust settled all three dogs had been cut, but the Monkey x JJ pup was the worst by far. He is now stapled in four places and missed the rest of the hunt!
