November 19 2009 hunt - Alston Tract- First hog

I had an invite to hunt the SWIFTMUD Alston tract but could only hunt one day. Dogs were my Monkey dog and two young dogs owned by the guy I was hunting with. First turn out, Monkey bays at the edge of a swamp in palmettos and gallberry bushes over your head. We try to get closer to him to get the young dogs to him and they finally go to him. When they get there the hog breaks, crosses a woods road in front of us and hits the swamp across the road. He doesn't make it far and he is a caught hog with all three dogs caught! Nice young black boar and good experience for the young dogs.
