New litter of Fla Cur pups. These pups are sired by my male Cur , Monkey, that can be seen in several of the hunting pics on this site. The dam of the pups is my JJ female, that had her jaw broken a few years ago by a hog. She is a half sister to my Spur dog and is a cousin to my old Dixie female (their mothers were littermate sisters).
Total of 8 pups, 6 females and 2 males. NO SHIPPING of pups and I reserve the right to not sell the pups to anyone that I don't feel is in the best interest of the pup. Pups will be ready to go mid August 2011.
These pups should be medium range medium nosed fairly rough dogs. The last litter from this cross is showing good potential at less than a year old.
Monkey is 6 years old and JJ will be 8 in October, so this may the last time for this cross
I have decided to offer this female for sale. I NEVER sell my old dogs, but just got to where I work too much and don't hunt enough to justify keeping all the dogs I have. This female is being offered as a BROOD female only. She has been just in the front joint of her leg (elbow) and is gimpy if she runs more than about 5 minutes. She will also bark on track some and I like silent dogs. But, I have two daughters out of her and both of them are silent. She has only had the one litter. I raised this dog, her mother, her grandmother and owned her great grandmother. One litter out of her will pay for her. She won't be any cheaper and I DON'T have to sell her. I just thought I would offer her as I get calls all the time from people wanting gritty cur dogs. This dog is fairly gritty, escpecially with other dogs on the ground. 2 year old female Fla cur. This gyp is sired by a south Fla dog named Bob and out of my Red female. I kept two of these pups and just haven't had much time to mess with them. This dog has been hunted with my Monkey dog and will go to a bay and will stay bayed. Just not real aggressive/catchy. She has been cut pretty good and was stitched. She has found one hog or her own, so far. This is a big dog, around 60 lbs, red with a white ringneck. I kept two pups out of my last litter (Monkey x JJ) and just don't need 4 young dogs to try and hunt!
This female is a little on the timid side around people, so she won't take rough handling. But she is of an age where you can take her to the woods now and start hunting her. I rarely sell a started dog, so here is a chance to get a young dog ready to hit the woods at little more than puppy price.
